Here is a list of various publications that the Crime Victim Assistance Division has available. All publications are offered free of charge except the In Person, In Time manual which the program requests a $10 donation for. Stalking: It's a Crime A brochure that explains stalking, Iowa's stalking law, and what a person should do if he or she is being stalked.
Restitution and other Financial Remedies A brochure that offers information for crime victims on recovery from crime-related expenses by offenders.
Iowa Crime Victim Assistance Resource Directory Book. This 200 page resource manual contains a comprehensive national, state, and county-by-county listing of criminal justice agencies and crime victim service agencies.
In Person, In Time- Recommended Procedures for Death Notification. An excellent first-in-the-nation manual of do's and don'ts in notifying persons about a death of a family member or friend. Especially good for law officers, medical examiners and others who often do death notification. Manual also includes "A Guide to Survival for Families and Friends of Homicide Victims". A $10 donation is requested for this manual.
A Guide to Survival for Families and Friends of Homicide Victims. This pamphlet discusses the most common reactions when a family member or close friend is a victim of homicide.
Crime Victim Assistance Annual Report. A statistical report for all programs for the previous fiscal year.
Crime Victim Compensation Poster. A poster highlighting the benefits of the Crime Victim Compensation Program.
Help For Burglary Victims brochure. A brochure offering information for victims of burglary, including feelings a victim may be experiencing and where to turn for help.
The Iowa Sexual Assault Examination Payment Program brochure. A brochure that outlines the SAE program and eligibility requirements.
